Gibbs - I want to add goals to my game

Arsenal v Marseille programme

Kieran Gibbs believes he is enjoying the best spell of his career, but the left back now wants to contribute more in an attacking sense.

The 24-year-old has played in every Premier League and Champions League game so far this season, forming an integral part of the Arsenal defence, which kept their eighth clean sheet of the season at the weekend.

Gibbs, who won his third England senior cap in last week's friendly against Germany, has also contributed three assists and one goal this term, and he wants to improve those stats.

"I think this year I've moved up a level," Kieran told the matchday programme. "I've stayed fit and finally shown what I can do.

"There's still a lot more I want to do though, especially offensively. Even on Saturday, I felt like I could have created more trouble for the opposition in the final third.

"I want to add more assists and even goals too. We play a certain way which enables me to get involved in the attack. But overall I'm happy and I just want to keep progressing and improving."
