Wojciech Szczesny played the full 90 minutes of Roma’s 4-4 draw with Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League. Javier Hernandez scored twice in the opening 20 minutes but Daniele de Rossi’s brace levelled the scores before the break. Miralem Pjanic and Iago Falque were on target to give the visitors a two-goal lead but Kevin Kampl and Admir Mehmedi both scored in dramatic fashion to equalise moments before the final whistle.

Chuba Akpom scored in Hull’s 3-0 win over Ipswich in the Championship. Alex Bruce put the hosts ahead before Akpom scored moments from the break. David Meyler added a third goal to wrap up the three points. Ainsley Maitland-Niles came on in the 46th minute for Ipswich but Isaac Hayden did not play for Hull.
