We looked to be heading for disappointment at full-time when Cole Palmer put Pep Guardiola's team ahead on 79 minutes, but as we entered the 11th minute of stoppage-time, Leandro Trossard found the net via a deflection off Manuel Akanji to deservedly draw us level, and set up a penalty shootout.
The drama continued as Kevin de Bruyne struck the bar and Aaron Ramsdale denied Rodri, allowing Fabio Vieira to step up and fire home the winning spot-kick to give us our 17th triumph in the tournament's history, and provide us with a boost going into the Premier League campaign this weekend.
