Having earned a place on Arsène Wenger's first-team bench for Tuesday's Carling Cup win, striker Jay Simpson returned to the Under-18s on Friday, with a hat-trick.

Marc Elston opened the scoring on five minutes before Simpson struck twice to give Steve Bould's side a comfortable 3-0 lead at the break. The visitors hit back with three second-half goals of their own but Simpson grabbed the winner with 10 minutes remaining.

The victory means the Arsenal youngsters are still unbeaten this season, a run that stretches to 10 games.
