South Korea international Park Ju Young joined Arsenal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in August 2011.
But the striker found first-team opportunities limited in his debut season at the Club - not least because of the stunning form of Robin van Persie.

After being allowed time to settle in England, Ju first appeared in the Carling Cup against Shrewsbury and then faced Bolton. He opened his account in style in the second game, collecting Andrey Arshavin’s pass and curling a delightful effort into the far corner.
It was a reminder of his talents but Ju would only make seven appearances all season. Those included a Premier League debut against Manchester United plus Champions League appearances against Marseille and Italian giants AC Milan.
Ju also helped South Korea win bronze at the London Olympics, scoring his side’s first in the decisive game against Japan after netting against Switzerland in the group stage.
After scoring on his debut for former club Monaco, Ju scored 27 times in 103 appearances en route to a runners-up medal in the 2009/10 Coupe de France.
His technical nous caught the eye during his three years in France and, after his side’s surprise relegation to the second tier, Arsene Wenger made his move for the established national team captain.
