Emirates Stadium was officially opened by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh on Thursday afternoon.
He took over the role after The Queen injured her back and was unable to attend. The Duke started at the Arsenal Learning Centre before receiving a briefing on the stadium development.
After visiting the Arsenal Museum, he was introduced to Arsène Wenger and the first team squad at pitchside.
The Duke also oversaw a demonstration training session involving children from the Arsenal Soccer Schools and the Junior Gunners.
The event culminated with the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate the official opening of the stadium.
