BRAZIL
HUNGARY v BRAZIL, April 28
Edu has received his first ever call-up to the Brazil squad and
flies to Budapest for a friendly against Hungary on April 28.
Edu's clubmate, Gilberto, has been rested for the international
friendly.
GERMANY
ROMANIA v GERMANY, April 28
Jens Lehmann has been ruled out of the Germany squad ahead their
friendly against Romania on Wednesday night. The Arsenal goalkeeper
has back pain and will be replaced by Timo Hildebrand of VfB
Stuttgart. Lehmann kept a clean sheet in Germany's 3-0 win
against Belgium last month.
SWEDEN
PORTUGAL v SWEDEN, April 28
Freddie Ljungberg has been called up to the Sweden squad for a Euro
2004 warm-up fixture against the tournament's hosts, Portugal.
Freddie has not played for his country since the 2-0 victory in
Poland on September 10, 2003.
SWITZERLAND
BELARUS v SWITZERLAND, April 28
Philippe Senderos has been called up to the Swiss national squad
for the international friendly against Belarus on April 28.
CZECH REPUBLIC UNDER-19
CZECH REPUBLIC v BELGIUM, May 4
Michal Papadopulos has been called up to the Czech Republic squad
for an Under-19 friendly against Finland. The young striker, on
loan at Highbury, has scored three goals in 11 games for
Arsenal's reserves this season.
IVORY COAST
GUINEA v IVORY COAST, April 28
Kolo Toure has been provisionally called up to play in a friendly
between Guinea and the Ivory Coast in Aix Les Bains.
SPAIN UNDER-17
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIERS, April 26-May 15
Cesc Fabregas has been called up for the qualifying round for the
Under-17 European Championships. The qualifiers take place in
France from April 26.
WALES UNDER-21
TRAINING CAMP, April 25-27
Adam Birchall has been called up for a training camp with Wales
Under-21s from April 25-27.
