Meet The Arsenal Triangle

In our tour of Arsenal America branches across the USA, we've often encountered groups that regularly see scores - or even hundreds - of Gooners watching matches together. But sometimes, it's just a handful of loyal supporters huddled together in a bar... or someone's living room. Our next tour stop takes us to North Carolina's 'Triangle', where even though it's undeniably basketball country, it's still easy to spot some passionate fans. To prove it, Branch Manager Ian Exum says:

"Ask to see my 2007 MINI S covered with Arsenal gear. And I mean COVERED..."

Group Name: The Arsenal: Triangle

City and State: Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Year established: 2008

Number of active members: Around 10.

Normal match start time: "Doesn’t matter. We’re there for ALL live matches, no matter the time!"

Where we watch matches: "If we aren't at The Hibernian -1144 Kildaire Farm Rd, Cary, NC - we're in my living room in front of my 55" LED TV. I prefer my place as the pubs don't get all of the games live, but I do."

Where our members hail from: "India, NC, England, New York, West Virginia, California...you name it!"

Group's favorite Arsenal moments: "Recently, AC Milan 0-2 Arsenal, Eduardo and Ramsey's returns."

Group's favorite players: Robin van Persie, Samir Nasri, Thomas Vermaelen, Johan Djourou.

Why we are Gooners: "They play the game the right way, and don't go out to buy a trophy every year. I'm lookin' at you, Chelsea & ManU!"

Why Americans should be Arsenal fans: "They're often-televised, making them a little easier to follow on a regular basis than most clubs. Their website is second-to-none, as well."
