We enjoyed the better chances during a strong showing in the first half with Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli going close, but Bayern came out strongly after the break and after hitting the woodwork twice, Joshua Kimmich fired them in front just after the hour mark.
We tried to conjure up an equaliser but couldn’t quite find a way through to break the resistance as the hosts dug deep, and ultimately a 3-2 aggregate defeat saw us exit the competition in the last eight.
