Team news: Three changes for Liverpool cup tie

Reiss nelson playing against PSV

Mikel Arteta has opted to make three changes to his team for today’s FA Cup third-round tie with Liverpool, with Reiss Nelson handed a start.

The winger comes in for Gabriel Martinelli who is named as a substitute, with Kai Havertz being pushed into attack. Jorginho takes the German's usual spot in midfield, while Aaron Ramsdale is given the nod in goal.

Eddie Nketiah drops to the bench alongside David Raya, while Gabriel Jesus misses out the matchday squad with a minor knee issue.

The Reds have made four changes to their side that beat Newcastle United on New Year’s Day, with Virgil van Dijk not named in the matchday squad, and his spot in the heart of defence occupied by Jarell Quansah.

With Dominik Szoboszlai injured plus Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo missing out due to international call-ups, Harvey Elliott, Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister all come into the starting line-up.

Arsenal: Ramsdale, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior, Jorginho, Rice, Odegaard, Saka, Nelson, Havertz.
Subs: Raya, Cedric, Sousa, Walters, Nwaneri, Smith Rowe, Martinelli, Trossard, Nketiah.

Liverpool: Allison, Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Konate, Gomez, Elliott, Jones, Mac Allister, Gakpo, Diaz, Nunez.
Subs: Kelleher, Bradley, Chambers, Gravenberch, McConnell, Clark, Gordon, Nyoni, Jota.
