Gnabry - I feel part of the squad now

Serge Gnabry says he feels settled in the Arsenal first-team squad.

The exciting 18-year-old featured in every game of the Asia Tour 2013 and started on Saturday afternoon as Arsene Wenger’s side began their Emirates Cup campaign with a 2-2 draw against Napoli.

Gnabry showed flashes of promise against Rafael Benitez's team and the youngster is now setting on his sights on staying in the senior squad when the season starts.

"We're feeling good and we're a good team this season. I feel part of it"

“I've been with the first team from the start this summer,” he told Arsenal Player. “Last year I had my injury and my operation so I'm feeling really good and great when I play in the team.

“Going on tour gave me a lot of confidence. Hopefully it can continue the way it has been going for me.

“For me personally I found it way easier today than it was in Asia. It was very humid in Asia but the conditions are easier in Europe. My targets for the season are to play for the first team, to get a couple of games - the more games the better.

“We've come together [as a squad] on tour, we've been away for 17 days together so we're feeling close to each other. We're feeling good and we're a good team this season. I feel part of it."
