Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that India on Track (IOT) has joined its family of partners.

The new long-term deal gives the Mumbai-based corporation the opportunity to open official Arsenal Soccer Schools throughout India and utilise a range of marketing rights to promote the schools and the IOT organisation.

The partnership with India on Track allows Arsenal to establish a long-term commitment to developing grass-roots football in the country while connecting with a passionate and rapidly growing fanbase.

India on Track will commit substantial and sustained funding to upgrading existing sports facilities at schools within the country, and plan to have a significant number of centres throughout India as part of this relationship. The first centre in Delhi will welcome attendees from June 2013, and offer sessions led by Arsenal-trained coaching staff to ensure the key principles of ‘playing the Arsenal way’ are incorporated consistently across each school.

Gaurav Modwel, managing director of India on Track, said: “Arsenal Football Club has a proud history in developing young football talent. From our early discussions we quickly realised their values are aligned with our own - with the fulfilment of sporting excellence through training and development; a priority. We are very happy to be working together and, with Arsenal's coaches, we can inspire a generation of football-mad youngsters in India and teach them how to play the Arsenal way with energy, skill and enjoyment."

Vinai Venkatesham, Arsenal’s head of global partnerships, said: “Partnering with India on Track is an exciting opportunity for us to connect with our passionate fans in India and help create a lasting foundation of structured football participation opportunities delivered by Arsenal Soccer School coaches. In the coming years we hope that tens of thousands of boys and girls will have the opportunity to take part in coaching sessions and learn to play the Arsenal way in a priority market for the Club.”
