Club launches new Ticket Transfer scheme

Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce the launch of its new ticketing service, Ticket Transfer, which will ensure as many supporters as possible have the opportunity to attend matches at Emirates Stadium this season and beyond.*

With games continuously sold out at the Gunners' home, work has been ongoing to develop a Ticket Transfer facility which allows Gold and Platinum level members (season-ticket holders) who are unable to attend a match to give their ticket to a family member or friend.

Ticket Transfer is designed to make it easier for fans to give their tickets to selected contacts, who for the first time are not required to be members. Supporters can set up lists of family and friends and pass the ticket to them. The recipient will simply print a coupon at home which will provide access to the stadium. As with Ticket Exchange, the Ticket Transfer service will open once the respective game has sold out.

This new initiative is part of the continued work being done to make Emirates Stadium as accessible as possible to Arsenal supporters, with the Young Guns Enclosure now in operation offering 1,000 £10 tickets to 12-16 year old members for weekend category B and C matches along with reduced priced tickets for adults and children at Capital One Cup matches. The overall ticket re-categorisation continues for the 2013/14 season, with 90,000 lower priced matchday tickets for non season-ticket holders across the campaign.

Ivan Gazidis, Arsenal Chief Executive, said: "Ultimately we all want as many supporters as possible to fill Emirates Stadium for our home matches. We want members with season tickets to use them and really help us create the atmosphere that gives our team an edge at home.

"We have made considerable progress this season with 23,000 tickets available through our Ticket Exchange system and we are confident this new development will make a further impact.

"Ticket Transfer is a significant initiative in creating flexibility for supporters with season tickets. We recognise many fans hand tickets to friends and family when they can’t go and this helps them do it safely and securely.”

*When using Ticket Transfer, the season ticket owner's card will be deactivated for the designated match. Tickets can only be transferred once per fixture, and a small administration charge will apply for Gold Members using this service.
