‘I watch Chambo and try to copy him'

Chris Willock says he is learning a lot from watching Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in training.

The England international recently hailed Willock's potential, and the teenager says hearing these compliments always gives him a boost.

“It’s really encouraging to hear stuff like that from him - it just cements that I’m doing the right things in training,” he told Arsenal Magazine.

“It’s really good to hear that from such a good player. I watch Chambo a lot and try to copy what he does because he plays on the wing like me. He’s a nice guy and talks to me a lot and encourages me.

“If I do something well in training, he tells me ‘Well done’. That sort of stuff is helpful because it gives you confidence to do more and get involved.”
