Ainsley Maitland-Niles scored in Ipswich’s 2-1 defeat at Portsmouth in the FA Cup. Gary Roberts was on target with a penalty to give the hosts the lead before Mark McNulty doubled their advantage five minutes later. Maitland-Niles pulled one back but the hosts held on to their lead.

Wellington Silva played 86 minutes of Bolton’s 3-2 win against Eastleigh in the FA Cup. Joe Partington put visitors ahead before Gary Madine levelled the scores. Dean Moxey then was on target minutes later to give the hosts the lead but Kaid Mohamed equalised just before the break. Darren Pratley scored in the second half to book Bolton’s place in the next round.
