The 20-year-old has established himself as a regular in the Gunners’ back four since making his first start at Borussia Dortmund last September, and has helped Arsène Wenger’s side keep consecutive clean sheets in their last three games.
Monreal has also been a key part of Arsenal’s defence during their impressive run and the Spain international believes that Bellerin will only improve with more first-team experience.
“He is very young and is only 20 years-old and plays with incredible maturity on the pitch,” he said. “I think he is one of the best full backs and will be in the future as well. He has a very long career ahead of him and he has been showing his quality and it is a pleasure to play along side him.
“Hector is simply a revelation this season and also last season as well. There are good times and there are bad times in a season. At the moment things are going very well and the whole team is working very well and we are in good form.
“We are not conceding many goals but there are other times this season where we will concede more but we can’t worry about that. We have to give 100 per cent each game and we know we have top level players capable of scoring at any moment so when we keep a clean sheet we can always guarantee ourselves victory. "
The Gunners have the chance to top the Premier League with a win against Everton at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, and Monreal believes the Gunners’ recent form will give them the confidence they need to pick up all three points.
"We know they are a very tough side to play against, they always give us a good game and they have lots of very good players who can create openings and score at any moment but we also have lots of quality in our team,” he said.
"We are at home and if we win we will be able to stay at the top league and we want to get the three points. If we carry on playing like we have in recent games, we should be able to do that but the most important thing is to give 100 per cent."
