Emma Mitchell says Arsenal Ladies are determined to reclaim the Continental Cup.

The Ladies lifted the trophy every year between 2011 and 2013 but were denied a fourth straight title when losing to Manchester City in the 2014 final.

Pedro Martinez Losa’s side won convincingly at Millwall on Sunday to advance to the quarter-finals of this season’s competition with a 100 per cent record, and Mitchell is hoping to take that momentum into the latter stages.

"We will see what happens in the draw, take each game as it is and hopefully get to the final, so we will just focus on that. If we can win it then that would be brilliant."

“[The 100 per cent record] gives us confidence,” the defender told Arsenal.com. “To beat Chelsea, although it was a cup game and we got beaten by them in the league, still gives us belief we could beat anyone in the league so it was a big win for us.

“We want to win every competition. We won this one the season before last and got to the final last year so we want to push on and reach the final this year too.

“We will see what happens in the draw, take each game as it is and hopefully get to the final, so we will just focus on that. If we can win it then that would be brilliant.

“I’m looking forward to the draw. It will be an exciting draw. Hopefully we will get a decent opponent and get into the next round.”
