Arsenal players on front row for Lanvin

Several Arsenal players recently took part in a portrait for the club's official tailor, Lanvin.

The seven first-team players were decked out in made-to-measure suits by Lanvin, while runway model Olga Sherer sported a look from the spring/summer 2015 Lanvin Femme collection.

Stepping into spring, the suits have been updated for the season. Calum Chambers, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, David Ospina, Theo Walcott, Mathieu Flamini and Mesut Ozil sport red rose grosgrain tie pins on the lapels of their jackets next to the embroidered gold Arsenal crest.

Designed under the expert eye of Lucas Ossendrijver, menswear designer director at Lanvin Homme, this official wardrobe combines the style of Arsenal and the bespoke savoir-faire of Lanvin, both renowned around the world.

The suits are made from Italian Super 110 in midnight blue. A slim fit shirt in white cotton poplin with a small collar and double cuffs is accessorised with a red silk tie, or a handmade red silk bow tie for more formal occasions. A pair of black derby shoes, a black silver-buckled belt and a pair of cufflinks engraved with the famous Arsenal cannon add the finishing touches to the figure of these modern-day gentlemen.

Paris’ oldest fashion house has dressed each member of the squad during official club appearances, including all home matches in the Barclays Premier League and UEFA Champions League as the players arrive at Emirates Stadium since 2013.
