Arsene Wenger says patience will be the key to qualifying for the Champions League quarter-finals.

Arsenal have a mountain to climb in Monaco after losing 3-1 in the first leg of their last-16 clash at Emirates Stadium.

However, the Gunners have won every game since then and Wenger says there is no need to panic ahead of Tuesday’s clash.

"We need to focus on patience and the quality of what we want to do, and try to do it together"

“We are in a position where today Monaco are favourites,” the manager explained. “But they can still lose it.

“We can go there and create something special. I believe that we will have the desire to do it and give absolutely everything to do it.

“I think we wanted too much to make a difference in the first game and forgot our basics. That means to defend well and attack well. We just focused on attacking well.

“[We need to] do what we did [against West Ham United], go until the last second, be patient and play a quality game. We need to focus on the quality of what we want to do and try to do it together.”
