Hurtig: "It feels great being back with the team"

Lina Hurtig made a triumphant return to her former club Linkoping as she contributed to our 3-0 win on Wednesday evening.

Our Swedish forward came off the bench in the 60th minute and immediately showed her presence in the box, causing further problems for the Linkoping backline who had already fallen a goal behind.

Her hard work on and off the ball was soon rewarded with a goal to double our advantage at a vital point in the match

"It felt great," said Hurtig, on her return to club football with the Arsenal. "It's great being back here with the girls, with the team, and especially being back here in Sweden.

"I think we all just enjoyed being back with each other and playing some games again."

Hurtig received an exceptionally warm welcome from the home fans who clamoured for photos and autographs after the final whistle.

"It's great being back here. I had three and a half years here [at Linkoping] and I have some great memories, so it's amazing to be back."

Hurtig featured for Sweden at this summer's Women's World Cup, where their impressive run ended with a third-place finish after a narrow defeat from eventual champions, Spain.

"Obviously, we haven't had too much recovery after the World Cup, but it is what it is! I'm just happy being back here again so yeah, I feel good."
