The Ladies' midweek encounter saw them comfortably dismiss
Birmingham 4-2.
Lianne Sanderson grabbed a brace after returning from an England Under-19 match in Holland the day before. Her first came after just 15 minutes when she was released down the right channel and calmly converted a one-on-one with the keeper.
Sanderson added her second before Julie Fleeting scored the third and then Yvonne Tracey rose highest to head home a Sanderson corner for the fourth.
Arsenal then let Birmingham back into the game with two sloppy
goals. The first came after Emma Byrne misjudged a backpass and
allowed the ball to roll under her foot into an empty net.
Birmingham's second arrived from a rare corner for the
visitors.
