A box-to-box midfielder with an impressive range of passing, Mauro enjoyed a fine campaign at U21 level last season, scoring seven times from 19 starts in all competitions. He was named in the first-team squad in the Europa League last term, and was also on the bench for our final Premier League game of the season. The Portuguese midfielder, who joined the club aged 12, is spending this campaign on loan with League Two side Colchester United.
