An athletic full back capable of operating in midfield as well, Elian enjoyed an impressive second season as a scholar, and was rewarded with his first pro contract in the summer. The London-born Costa Rica youth international, who has represented his country at under-20 level, is a fine crosser of the ball, usually from left back. He made 15 appearances last season, including three in the Premier League 2.
