This course is a BTEC Level 3 Extended diploma in Sports Coaching, Development and Fitness
Are you 16-18yrs old?
We deliver a full time two year BTEC Level 3 in Sports, Development Coaching and Fitness. Based in the new Arsenal Community Hub at Emirates Stadium you will be able to follow in the footsteps of previous graduates of participants on previous traineeship schemes such as Ex-Arsenal and England ladies star Rachel Yankey, Nick Irwin Cambridge United First team physiotherapist and F2 Freestyler Billy Wingrove
This exciting two year course will teach students the key elements of community sports coaching & sports development, with a particular focus on football. Students will receive the necessary knowledge and skills to progress into employment in a variety of sports related careers. Combining education alongside the opportunity to gain community coaching experience within the environment of a professional football club is invaluable, and gives students a great platform for further development.
Throughout the two year period, students will undertake a Coach Education programme by FA / UEFA qualified Coaches. Students will gain an insight into a wide range of Arsenal in the Community projects including school sports, soccer schools, social inclusion & football development.
In addition to the BTEC Level 3 Qualification students will be offered some of the following opportunities.
• FA Level 1 in Football Coaching
• FA Level 2 in Football Coaching (if suitable)
• FA Safeguarding Children
• FA Emergency First Aid
• Employability Courses
• Education visits & Guest Speakers
• A Variety of workshops
On-going assessment through assignments, presentations and practical activities.
If you are successful during the course you will achieve a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Sports, Development, Coaching & Fitness holding the direct equivalence of 3 ‘A’ Levels.
