Alessia Russo and Beth Mead are both in contention for the Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Month award in April.
Our two Lionesses were in fine form this month and both racked up four goals in three league appearances.
Mead secured back-to-back braces against Bristol City and Leicester City, whilst Russo scored in every WSL match she played in April.
Their competition for the monthly accolade includes Tottenham’s Bethany England, Manchester City’s Lauren Hemp, Everton’s Sara Holmsgaard and Aston Villa’s Sophia Poor.
