Stina Blackstenius’ golden touch in front of goal has seen her named our women’s Player of the Month for March.
The Swedish striker has been in lethal form, netting five goals in five games including the all-important Conti Cup-sealing strike, and that has been recognised by our supporters who have deemed her our star performer during the month.
Stina received 54 per cent of the votes to claim the trophy, coming out on top above Beth Mead, Victoria Pelova and Lotte Wubben-Moy.
Already our top scorer this season, Stina added to that total last month by bagging her second hat-trick of the campaign in the Conti Cup semi-final against Aston Villa, opening her account with a thunderous strike past Anna Leat.
She then went on to score again against the Villans in our 3-1 success on the road in the WSL, but saved her biggest moment for last when she slotted home the winner in the dying minutes of extra-time to beat Chelsea and claim the silverware at Molineux.
It is the first time in her Arsenal career that our striker has won one of our monthly awards, having arrived from BK Hacken in 2022.
