JGs enjoy Members' Day at the Emirates

Over a thousand Junior Gunners flocked to Emirates Stadium to attend Members' Day on Thursday and got their 30th anniversary celebrations off to a fun-filled start.

First up, the JGs observed Arsene Wenger put his squad through their paces with an open training session on the lush Emirates surface.

After the session, Theo Walcott ran over to the JGs to say hello, also signing autographs and posing for pictures. - and hundreds of young fans donned Theo masks to greet the England international.

Then 30 JGs headed out into the middle of the pitch to release balloons into the sky.
Each balloon contained a free JG membership, so the lucky people who find them will be able to enjoy membership for the season ahead!

Those JGs then had the chance to take on the Arsenal first team in a special 30th anniversary match on the Emirates Stadium turf. They were helped out when Walcott switched sides to join their team halfway through and eventually ran out 4-3 winners!

The JGs then wrapped up a memorable day by heading to a Q&A with Arsenal stars Walcott, Kieran Gibbs, Serge Gnabry, Ryo Miyaichi and Olivier Giroud. They got to quiz the Arsenal players on everything from their favourite chocolate bars to who was the best at FIFA 13 (Chuba Akpom and Alex OXlade-Chamberlain if you’re wondering!), before meeting the players for pictures and autographs.

Keep your eyes peeled for more opportunities to get involved with the 30th anniversary celebrations throughout this season!
