You may remember a couple of months ago, we asked you to submit a creative entry in order to be in with a chance of winning Indesit’s Family Away Trip!? Well you guys really delivered on the creative brief! We received music videos, collages and even a very persuasive PowerPoint presentation!
The big prize up for grabs was a family trip for four – train travel to Manchester, a hotel for two nights and four tickets to Manchester City v Arsenal, Sunday 8th May. Although the selection process was very difficult, the Junior Gunners Team managed to whittle down the entries to three prize winners.
JG Daniel came in second, closely followed by Yonathan in third with both having produced brilliant entries! In the end our first prize was awarded to Lily! Lily created a fantastic T-shirt, depicting who she would take with her on the trip, the team’s colours, a rosette and even a mini cannon!
We surprised Lily with the news and sent her a picture of Jack Wilshere holding her winning entry. Lily used the four tickets to take her Mum Charlotte, Uncle Richard and Cousin Ryan.
The foursome made their way up to Manchester on Friday night, giving them a full weekend away in Manchester. Lily and her family took a tour around Old Trafford, held the Premier League trophy at the National Football Museum, and even bumped into Arsene Wenger on the morning of the match in their hotel!
Following their weekend away, we asked Lily about the trip and she said: “I was really excited when I found out I had won. I often go to watch the Arsenal at the Emirates, but to have the chance to support my team at an away match, especially such an important match in the standings, was superb!
"The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic and I would recommend every young Arsenal fan to try and get to an away match to support your club! The whole weekend away was brilliant and it just goes to show you should always enter every competition that Arsenal have because their prizes are fantastic!”
Lily also kept us up to date with lots of tweets @JuniorGunners over the weekend and thanked Indesit for the wonderful trip and match tickets!
