Gunner's Diary

Happy New Year Junior Gunners. Hope you all had great Christmas’s and got lots of super presents.

Here’s what I have been up to over the past month.

December 4
Christmas time is always very busy for everyone at the Club. We started December with a 2-0 home win against newly promoted Hull City with goals from super Nick and Mesut. It was great to meet Thierry Henry again at the match who stopped to sign lots of autographs and pose for photos with some lucky fans.

December 6
I always have a brilliant evening at the annual Arsenal Disabled Supporters Christmas party and this year was no different. All the Arsenal Directors were present as was former Arsenal player Brian Talbot. I popped in for a couple of hours and everyone was having a good time and there was some excellent prizes to be won in the raffle.

December 8
Today was a very special day as it was the Club's dedicated charity matchday against Everton where we raised money for the Arsenal Foundation. The boss and all the players donated a day's wages and there was a number of activities around Emirates Stadium to help raise funds for a fantastic cause.

I began the day at the players entrance to meet everyone and I got a high five from former Gunner Robert Pires. At half-time I went out with the ball squad to collect more donations for the foundation from our generous supporters. It was also lovely to see our Supporters Clubs from Iceland and Norway at the game who hung around at the end for photos with Theo Walcott.

December 11
The lads qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League despite 2-0 defeat against Napoli in Italy. Next up we face a massive game against Bayern Munich in February and March! Unfortunately I twas unable to make the game as I was at the Bethnal Green Academy School raising money for the typhoon in Philippines. Abbie and Ricky from The Only Way Is Essex also made an appearance.

December 14
Today I attended the Junior Gunners Christmas screening at Emirates Stadium for our Premier League game against Man City. Unfortunately the result didn't go our way but that wasn't going to damp any festive spirits. There was some super prizes in the raffle and loads of activities for the JGs to get involved in.

December 16
Today was a busy day after I attended four London hospitals to meet lots of great children on the wards. It was great to hand out gifts to the children and meet all of the inspiration medical staff.

December 17
Today I was joined by Thomas, Wojciech, Mikel, Per and Lukas for our annual visit to the Whittington hospital and it was great to see all the smiling children who were delighted to meet their Arsenal heroes. Later that evening I went to the George Members Club in W1 to meet a long-term Arsenal box-holder and his guests. Former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson was also there.

December 23
Today I spent the afternoon with the Arsenal Community Department and visited Pentonville Prison. This community project is a family day for inmates and those connected to them. In the evening I was back at the Emirates to watch our 0-0 draw with Chelsea. I managed to grab David Beckham for a picture and I spent time with some lovely people in Box level before kick-off.

December 25
Today I did what everybody should be doing on Christmas day - eat lots of food and then watch lots of movies. Merry Christmas!

December 26
The boys were back on the pitch today and managed to get a brilliant win away to London rivals West Ham. Theo got two and Lukas scored the other on his return to the side. I watched the game on TV at Emirates Stadium and was so pleased to see the team get three points.

December 29
Today saw another brilliant away win against Newcastle with Olivier getting the only goal of the game. The result meant we would end 2013 at the top of the Premier League. Best Christmas present ever!

January 1
The games were coming thick and fast with the boys in action again today against Cardiff City. I wished a Happy New Year to some young Arsenal fans in Box 43 before meeting former Gunner Gilberto who was at the game. Goals from Super Nick and Theo gave us another win which left everyone leaving in a good mood.

January 4
Today bought another big game against our neighbours from Tottenham and a chance to progress in this seasons FA Cup. It was a super win with good goals from Santi and Tomas capping off a superb all-round performance from the boys. I celebrated at the end of the match with lots of happy fans in the Diamond Club.

Wow, what a busy month! Speak to you soon JGs but for now have a fantastic start to 2014!
