Junior Gunners Halloween Party - Pictures

On Saturday, November 3, over 450 Junior Gunners came to the Emirates for the second Junior Gunners event of the season. Ghosts and scary monsters arrived at Arsenal’s home turf to celebrate both Halloween and Bonfire Night – all in fancy dress. With the first-team busy taking on Manchester United at Old Trafford, the JGs and their parents swooped in to take over the stadium.

The whole of the Royal Oak suite was decorated with spooky Halloween affects and the young fans were treated to a host of ghoulish activities including pumpkin decorating and fancy dress making.
One floor down, in the stadium's 'dungeon', there were games to test the JG’s football skills. High tech equipment measured the youngsters' shot speed and accuracy. A Batak machine, used by the Arsenal pros to improve reflexes, was put through its paces. And Junior Gunners navigated barrels, precariously marked 'TNT - Highly Explosive!' in a timed dribbling challenge. There was also the opportunity to play EA SPORTS FIFA 13. Some JGs arrived early to the event and headed to the Armoury Store for even more Halloween fun.
Before kick-off, we showed a Halloween message from Andre Santos and Bacary Sagna wishing the JGs a great day. The match didn’t start well for the Gunners and, despite Santi Cazorla’s great goal, we lost the game 2-1.

At half time we brought four Junior Gunners up on stage to show off their amazing fancy dress outfits. The overall winner, Josh, won a pair of tickets to an Arsenal match and in addition to that Fabio, Cameron, Samiyah and sisters Emilia and Francesca got runner-up prizes. Even parent Simon Hockham won a special prize – his very own Arsenal garden gnome!

Then, Gunnersaurus popped by to pose for pictures with his fans and say goodbye to everyone.

Have a look at our picture gallery below for a few pictures from the event. And keep your eyes peeled, because, on Thursday we’ll also post a video.
