Tessa rejoined the club as Technical Director in May 2016 having previously been with the club from 2003 to 2008.
During her time away she worked for The Football Association for 8 years in various roles including assistant coach to England U15s, Women’s Regional Talent ID Co-ordinator as well as the FA’s Tutor Workforce Manager and Regional Coach Development Manager.
Tessa’s coaching career started while playing in the USA on a soccer scholarship where she graduated from Hofstra University as a PE Teacher, but coaching soon became her full-time career.
After 10 years in the states, she returned to the UK to work at Wimbledon FC, Chelsea FC and also the David Beckham Academy. She comes with a wealth of experience in identifying and developing young female players including current first team players Leah Williamson and Carla Humphrey.
Tessa gained her A licence in 2012 and is an experienced FA Coach Education tutor delivering Level 1, 2, Youth Award qualifications and more recently now an FA Talent ID Tutor.
