Childhood Arsenal supporter Lotte built on an impressive 2022/23 season by establishing herself as a leader at the heart of a Gunners’ defence that had lost Rafaelle Souza and was initially without Leah Williamson, and she impressed to win our 2023/24 Player of the Season award.
Calm in the tackle and creative on the ball, Lotte made more blocks, tackles and progressive passes than in any previous campaign, and she helped to prevent top strikers such as Khadija Shaw, Sam Kerr and Rachel Daly from scoring against us last season. The London-born defender came through the Arsenal Academy and made her debut in 2015, aged 15, before heading to the United States to play college football two years later. She returned in September 2020 and has since gone on to represent England, scoring her first international goal in a 5-1 win over Italy in February 2024.
Lotte is also a passionate advocate for Arsenal in the Community and has established her own programme, called Time to Explore, in which local girls express themselves through football and creative arts at The Arsenal Hub.
