Place of Birth: Essex

A highly-rated homegrown talent, attacking midfielder Freya spent last season on loan at Charlton Athletic in the Championship, where she impressed as the former top-flight club finished runners-up, just one point behind promoted Crystal Palace.

Before that, Freya, who started in the Essex FA’s Regional Talent Club before joining the Gunners at the age of 12, made her senior debut from the bench during our 4-0 win at Brighton & Hove Albion in May 2023, and followed that up with another cameo in the 4-1 win at Everton a week later before signing her first professional contract with the club in June 2023.

It had been a rollercoaster season for the direct, pacey youngster, who spent time on loan at Ipswich Town before helping Arsenal win the Under-21 Academy League, starring in a 16-1 win over West Ham United and 8-0 victory over eventual Northern Division champions Aston Villa, who would lose 6-0 to the Gunners in the showdown for the overall title at the end of the season.

An England youth international from under-14 level, she captained the Lionesses at the 2024 Under-19 Euros and starred on their run to the semi-finals.
