It’s great to have you back at Emirates Stadium.
While you have been away, we have been busy with more sustainability initiatives at the stadium. We all know the importance of drinking water during the hot summer, so we have installed six new water dispensers. Health benefits aside, the water dispensers are another step towards removing single use plastic bottles. Every day, 21 million single use water bottles are used in the UK, that’s 1.3 million for the 90 minutes of our game.
We have also installed new bins to help with the waste separation. Working with our new waste management company, Recorra, we aim to increase our recycling rates and reduce the amount of waste. Separating waste into the correct streams is vital for effective waste management so we would love for you to help us by using our shiny new bins.
