We are so proud and grateful of our travelling supporters who follow Arsenal in their thousands over land and sea, and for our game against Liverpool at Anfield on May 11 we are trialling a new option for our travelling support.
We will be supporting the “I Came By Train” movement, to help fight climate change by incentivising using public transport – and ticket holders will be able to claim a discount code to give them 20 per cent off train travel to this game. We hope this discount makes using the train a more appealing option.
We have written before about the benefits of using public transport to make these journeys, with trains emitting substantially fewer emissions per passenger than driving. They average 1.32kg per passenger per kilometre, compared to 4.14kg in a car, and can also be combined with active travel options, such as bikes and walking.
Of course our own Emirates Stadium sits in a perfect location to help supporters get to home games using public transport. As well as two London Underground lines, the stadium is served by London Overground and national rail train services.
