Zinchenko, Tierney prepare for Euros with shutouts

Left-backs Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney both kept clean sheets in friendlies for their countries on Monday night.

Zinchenko played 90 minutes on his 61st international appearance as Ukraine impressively held Germany to a 0-0 draw away from home. Kai Havertz played 59 minutes of the match in his 45th international appearance.

Ukraine's next game is a friendly away to Poland on Friday night, while Germany continue their Euro 2024 preparations with a friendly at home to Greece.

As for Tierney, he came on in the 66th minute of Scotland’s 2-0 win away to Gibraltar for his 43rd international appearance. Ryan Christie opened the scoring for Scotland before Che Adams made sure of the win in the 85th minute.

Scotland face Finland on Friday night for their final friendly before the Euros.

Meanwhile, Aaron Ramsdale and Declan Rice were both on the bench for England’s 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Bukayo Saka was not included in the squad.
