WorldRemit launch second Future Stars programme

We are excited to announce the return of WorldRemit’s Future Stars programme, following its successful introduction last season.

In celebration of WorldRemit extending their relationship as our official online money transfer partner, WorldRemit are once again offering two coaches from Africa or the Americas the opportunity to attend an exclusive training programme with Arsenal football development coaches in London.

Since becoming our first official online money transfer partner in 2017, we have worked together to develop the Future Stars programme in order to highlight and celebrate the positive impact that grassroots football coaches have on the young people they train.

WorldRemit will sponsor two winners, one male and one female, to fly to London and undertake the personalised coaching programme with Arsenal Football Development coaches.

“We are extremely excited to announce the return of the Future Stars programme,” commented Arsenal football development head coach, Simon McManus.

“Community has always been at the heart of everything we do at Arsenal and we are constantly looking for ways to engage young people, both in north London and around the world, in football.

“It is great that WorldRemit share this same belief in coaches and grassroots football and that we can continue to use our partnership to promote its positive impact together.”

Andrew Stewart, managing director for Africa at WorldRemit, said: “Our customers work hard every day to send money home to support their communities.

“Inspired by them, we developed the Future Stars programme with Arsenal to shine a spotlight on youth community coaches who use their passion for football to build a better future for others.

“The standard of applications for last year’s programme exceeded our expectations. We’re excited to build on this success and celebrate the incredible contributions of male and female coaches from across Africa and the Americas.”

Applications for the competition are free and open to youth team (under-16s) coaches from Africa or the Americas. For more information on the competition and how to enter, click here.
