Where and when our Gunners are playing this week

William Saliba in training with France

With the 2023/24 club season in the books, attentions now turn to the international scene, where a host of Gunners will be in action for the countries over the coming weeks.

Euro 2024 is on the horizon, and three of our players will begin their warm-ups for the tournament safe in the knowledge they'll be in Germany this summer. William Saliba could feature for France in their friendlies against Luxembourg on Wednesday and Canada on Sunday, while Leandro Trossard's Belgium also have friendlies against Montenegro and Luxembourg this week.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is in the Ukraine squad travelling to the finals, and they will take on tournament hosts Germany on Monday, June 3, before facing Poland on Friday, June 7 and Moldova on Tuesday, June 11 as they look to get some extra match sharpness in before the serious stuff begins.

Alex could line up against Jakub Kiwior's side later this week, who also have a friendly scheduled against Turkey on Monday, June 10. Italy also have a game against the Turks this Tuesday, which Jorginho is set to be involved in, and potentially also against Bosnia & Herzegovina on Sunday.

That comes after Bosnia come up against our England trio of Aaron Ramsdale, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka who have all been named in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the pre-Euro 2024 training camp and friendly fixtures. The Three Lions will play Bosnia at St. James’ Park on Monday, June 3 and then tackle Iceland at Wembley on Friday, before their 26-man squad for the Euros will be named the following day.

Spain’s provisional squad has been announced, and David Raya, who was with us on loan last season, is in it for friendlies against Andorra on Wednesday, June 5 and Northern Ireland on Saturday, June 8 ahead of the Euros.

Kieran Tierney has been named in Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad ahead of friendlies against Gibraltar on Monday and Finland on Friday, as they prepare for the Euro 2024 curtain-raiser against Germany, whom Kai Havertz could play a part in their friendlies against Zinchenko's Ukraine and Greece over the coming days.

Away from preparation for the finals, five other Gunners have been called up for international action.

Martin Odegaard is in the Norway squad for friendlies against Kosovo on Wednesday, June 5 and Denmark on Saturday, June 8, while Karl Hein has been called up for a friendly against Switzerland on Tuesday followed by a Baltic Cup semi-final against the Faroe Islands on the weekend.

There are also 2026 World Cup qualifiers taking place in Africa and Asia, and Thomas Partey is in the Ghana squad for matches against Mali on Thursday, June 6 and the Central African Republic the following Monday, while Takehiro Tomiyasu has been named in the Japan squad for their fixtures against Myanmar and Syria.

Sunday sees preparations for the 2024 Copa America begin, and Brazil will be playing friendlies against Mexico and USA, with Gabriel and Gabriel Martinelli in with a strong chance of featuring in both.

They have been named in the Selecao squad for the tournament, in which Brazil will take on Costa Rica, Paraguay and Colombia in the group stages.
