Second-half strikes from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Crystal Palace on Sunday meant we’ve scored 25 of our 35 goals this season after half-time.

Starting strongly after the break has been a feature of the Unai Emery era so far. But while our second-half performances have been convincing, we’re yet to lead a Premier League game at half-time under our new head coach. So how can we change that?

“We’ve come out in the second half in our past few matches and really turned on the style and scored some goals,” said Rob Holding after Sunday’s match. “We just need to start a bit faster and play how we do in the second half. That’s something to work on for the next game.

“It’s the end of the winning run and we’re disappointed with that, but as long as we don’t lose, it’s one of them.

“They has a couple of penalties and apparently our second goal was handball, but I haven’t seen anything yet. It was an entertaining game for the fans I suppose, but we’re disappointed not to keep that winning streak going.”
