Vote for Ramsdale to win PL Save of the Season

Aaron Ramsdale has been nominated for the Premier League's Save of the Season award

Aaron Ramsdale has two nominations for this year's Premier League Save of the Season, and your votes can help him win the prize.

Our number one has already received two Save of the Month accolades during 2022/23, and the moments that won him those trophies are included in the shortlist of stops that could take the annual award.

The first option is his excellent save during our 3-2 thriller against Bournemouth in March. With us already trailing 1-0, a swift counter-attack saw Philip Billing break forward and centre for Dango Ouattara to seemingly tuck the ball into the net, but Rambo made himself big and managed to get a hand to his effort, and keep us in contention.

The England shot-stopper would win the award again the following month for further heroics, this time at Anfield in our 2-2 draw against Liverpool.

With the game against the Reds entering the final minute, Trent Alexander-Arnold picked out Mohamed Salah in the area. The Egyptian controlled the ball and swiftly curled a shot towards the top corner which looked destined to find its target, only for Aaron to dive full-stretch and get his fingertips to the ball and keep us level.

Every save that won the league's monthly award is included in the seasonal shortlist, meaning Aaron is up against England teammates Nick Pope - who also has two nominations - and Jordan Pickford who was last year’s inaugural recipient.

The other contenders are Chelsea keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, Southampton’s Gavin Bazunu and David De Gea of Manchester United.

Supporters can choose their favourite now, with voting open until 6pm on Friday, June 2 - while you can also select Reiss Nelson as the Premier League's Gamechanger of the Season.
