Voting is now open for our first Women’s Player of the Month award of the season, and there are four contenders to choose from.
After beginning the Barclays Women’s Super League season with a disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to Liverpool, we secured a 2-2 draw at Manchester United courtesy of Cloe Lacasse’s late stunner.
Katie McCabe and Alessia Russo were both on the scoresheet in stoppage time as we came from 1-0 down to beat Aston Villa 2-1 at Emirates Stadium in the middle of the month.
McCabe then scored another two in our 2-1 win at Bristol City as we rose to seventh in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
Kim Little is also nominated, having played every minute of every match in midfield with an overall pass completion rate of 87 per cent.
Voting has now closed.
