Three of our Gunners were on target for England as the Young Lionesses made a dream start to their UEFA Women's U19 Euros campaign in Lithuania.

Their 10-0 win over the hosts on Sunday is the biggest scoreline ever recorded at the tournament's finals.

England were ahead within the opening five minutes through Poppy Pritchard, and Katie Watson soon made it 2-0 after receiving an exquisite backheeled pass from Michelle Agyemang.

Agyemang was soon on the scoresheet herself, tapping in from close range after Vivienne Lia's deep free kick. Our 18-year-old forward doubled her goal tally ten minutes later and the Lionesses were flying into half-time, 5-0 up.

Agyemang completed her hat-trick in style with a perfectly-struck free kick that hit the underside of the crossbar before rattling the back of the net.

It was then Vivienne Lia's turn to join the goalscoring action, as she bagged England's eighth with a well-taken volley.

Our winger made way for her Arsenal teammate Freya Godfrey just before the hour mark, who combined well with Maddy Earl for the final goal.

Godfrey threaded the ball through to Earl who surged into the box but no teammate could get on the end of her cross. However, Lithuania failed to clear the danger and Earl eventually crashed in at the far post to score.

At the other end of the pitch, centre-back Katie Reid kept a clean sheet during her 90 minutes for England.

Next up for the Young Lionesses is Serbia on Wednesday, 17 July.
