Jack Wilshereโs under-18s continue their pre-season preparations by making the short trip to Hertfordshire to face Hitchin Town on Saturday, August 3. The game will kick off at 3pm (UK time) at Top Field.
We go into the game with confidence, coming off the back of beating 3-2 in Germany last week, thanks to goals from Marley Frohock, Jayden Adetiba and Andre Annous.
Hitchin Town will compete in the Non-League Premier Southern Central Division, one tier below the National League South, for the upcoming season.
Last season, Hitchin Town finished in the bottom four of their division and were set to be relegated to the Southern League Division One Central. However, due to Coalville Town resigning their position because of financial issues, Hitchin Town was spared from relegation and will remain in the Non-League Premier Southern Central Division for the 2024/25 season.
Their pre-season campaign has included seven fixtures against teams such as Barnet and Luton Town U21s. Their most recent game was a 1-0 loss to Stotfold on Tuesday night. This match will be their final pre-season fixture before they welcome Bromsgrove Sporting FC to Top Field for their first league game on Saturday, August 10.
We played against Hitchin Town this time last year, resulting in an eventful 2-2 draw, with an own goal and Harrison Dudziak scoring for us.
