Our young Gunners will be aiming to return to winning form as Adam Birchall takes charge of his first home fixture as under-18s head coach against Crystal Palace on Saturday, November 2. Kick-off at the Sobha Realty Training Centre is scheduled for 11am (UK time).
In our last outing, despite a promising 2-0 lead thanks to a brace from Dan Casey, Norwich City mounted a late second-half comeback to edge us 3-2 and claim all three points.
The Opposition
Crystal Palace currently sit 10th in the table with eight points, placing them just one point and one position below us. The Eagles have struggled in recent weeks, going four games without a win and suffering three defeats. Defensive frailties have also been an issue, with 15 goals conceded in their last four games.
One player to watch is forward Jesse Derry, son of former Palace midfielder and current Wolves first-team coach Shaun Derry, who has scored seven goals in six league games.
When we last faced Palace earlier in March, we delivered a memorable 8-3 victory.
