It’s our final game of the Premier League 2 season on Friday night when we host Leicester City at Emirates Stadium.
THE STORY SO FAR
We’ve been unable to defend our PL2 title this season, with Everton coming out on top - but a win on Friday night could see us leapfrog both Liverpool and Brighton and finish second.
This would make for a strong end to our season, having won each of our last three league fixtures, scoring nine goals and keeping two clean sheets.
We’re now unbeaten in each of our last eight PL2 fixtures, winning five and drawing three - a run stretching back to December.
The last time we faced the Foxes we ran out 2-1 winners at Holmes Park, courtesy of goals from Tobi Omole and Robbie Burton.
THE OPPOSITION
Leicester City head into Friday’s clash low on confidence, after losing each of their last six PL2 fixtures. No other side is on a worse run of form in the division.
During this time they’ve conceded 18 goals and failed to score on four occasions - but thanks to their strong start to the season, they remain eighth, seven points adrift of Freddie Ljungberg’s side.
Ryan Loft and Tyreese Shade will be the Foxes’ greatest attacking threats, having scoring three times apiece this season.
ONE TO WATCH
After scoring a stunning double against Chelsea in our last PL2 outing, Eddie Nketiah will be keen to impress at Emirates Stadium.
The 19-year-old opened the scoring at Stamford Bridge with a powerful first-time finish, before beating two defenders and finding the top corner from a tight angle.
He then went on to make an impressive appearance off the bench for the first team in their 3-1 defeat to Wolves on Wednesday night.
Nketiah remains our top goalscorer in the PL2 this season with nine goals in 10 games.
