Team news: Tierney comes in to face Brighton

Kieran Tierney in action against Fulham

Mikel Arteta has made just one change to our starting XI for today’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion, with Kieran Tierney replacing Oleksandr Zinchenko.

It’s the left-back’s first start since we travelled to West Ham United in mid-April, as Zinchenko misses out after coming off against Newcastle United last weekend.

Tierney slots into an otherwise unchanged back four of Ben White, Jakub Kiwior and Gabriel, with Aaron Ramsdale continuing his ever-present record in the Premier League this season.

Jorginho continues in midfield – his third consecutive start – alongside Granit Xhaka and captain Martin Odegaard.

Up front, Gabriel Jesus leads the line, with Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka on the wings.

As for Brighton, they make four changes to the side that was beaten 5-1 at home by Everton on Monday, including youngster Evan Ferguson starting up front in place of Danny Welbeck.

Julio Enciso is also added to the attack, with Billy Gilmour coming into midfield and Levi Colwill named alongside Lewis Dunk in the heart of defence, with Facundo Buonanotte, Deniz Undav and Adam Webster dropping out.

Arsenal: Ramsdale, White, Kiwior, Gabriel, Tierney, Jorginho, Xhaka, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Jesus.

Subs: Turner, Walters, Holding, Partey, Vieira, Smith Rowe, Nelson, Trossard, Nketiah.

Brighton: Steele, Gross, Colwill, Dunk, Estupinan, Caicedo, Mac Allister, Gilmour, Enciso, Mitoma, Ferguson.

Subs: McGill, van Hecke, Offiah, Ayari, Peupian, Undav, Buonanotte, Moran, Welbeck.
