Team news: Strong side selected to play Lyon

Mikel Arteta has named a strong starting XI for this afternoon’s Dubai Super Cup game against Lyon.

Despite travelling to the UAE without the 10 players called up to the World Cup, the boss has opted to field all of his first-team players from the start against the French side.

Karl Hein starts between the posts in front of a back four of Cedric, Rob Holding, Gabriel and Kieran Tierney, who will be offered protection by Sambi Lokonga and Mohamed Elneny.

Martin Odegaard skippers the side, with Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira and Eddie Nketiah hoping to provide the firepower in attack.
