Team news: Arteta mixes youth with experience

The Arsenal changing room before the Bournemouth game

For our first game of our US Tour, Mikel Arteta has named a starting XI mixed with youth and experience for our game against Bournemouth in Los Angeles.

Eddie Nketiah captains the side and leads the line, with Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson supporting him in attack, but a young midfield duo of Ethan Nwaneri and Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand are joined by Thomas Partey.

Fellow under-21 teammates Myles Lewis-Skelly and Aidan Heaven are also named in the line-up, with Karl Hein playing in front of a backline containing international experience in Ben White and Jurrien Timber.

There is plenty more on the bench, where Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Jesus are joined by Euro 2024 stars Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jakub Kiwior, Jorginho and Leandro Trossard, plus Emile Smith Rowe.

Andoni Iraola has opted to make nine changes to his side that drew 1-1 with Wrexham in the opening game of their pre-season tour on Saturday, with just Jaydon Anthony and Alex Scott remaining in the starting line-up.

Dominic Solanke starts up top in a strong line-up that features many of the Cherries' Premier League regulars, including Marcos Senesi who netted their goal against the Welsh side.
