To be honest, I can’t really explain it. It’s an amazing feeling, at the Kop end as well, so much history has been there. I’m just proud to get the win to be honest.

on the performance of the team…

We went 1-0 up, but had the character when we went 2-1 down to battle back. We kept going and fighting until the end to get the victory.

on playing in such a fixture…

It’s amazing, there’s been so much history here, great players and you can see their manager Steven Gerrard played here and I’m just proud to have played in such a huge stadium and get the win.

on the team’s character to fight back…

The team’s chemistry is amazing and the fight, the physical mentally of everyone. We kept going until the end and couldn’t ask much more to be honest.

on our unbeaten run of eight games…

After every game we keep going, we don’t slack and go hard in training every week, it’s hard intense work and don’t think that it’s already won, so keep going every week.

on breaking through to the under-23s…

I train with the 23s quite a lot, so I’m just wait for my call up and hopefully I can take it.
