Last week was Results Day for students all over the country, including those at The Arsenal Hub.
Our latest cohort of students have been studying for a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in sport, the equivalent of three A-Levels. Alongside their qualifications, the students have been also gaining valuable work experience through our community programmes to set them up for life away from education.
Martin Davis and Anthony David from our Community team coordinate and teach the Level 3 qualifications with United Colleges Group and are supported by various Community colleagues through coaching and various workshops.
Last Thursday, we invited the students back to The Hub to collect their results and there were plenty of smiling faces once their brown envelopes were opened.
Every student completed their two-year Extended Diploma and every student achieved at least one distinction grade, an improvement from 85 per cent in 2022.
67 per cent of students achieved the highest grade possible, a Triple Distinction Star, up from 43 per cent last year. 10 students have gone on to apply for university, while three have applied and been accepted for our Coaching Development Programme starting next year.
A massive congratulations to the students, Martin, Anthony and all our Community colleagues involved in such a great achievement.
We captured the moment the students received their results pitchside above, and you can see other key moments throughout their time with us in the gallery below:
